No Sir. The ancient scriptures mention that only a rare yogi practices regularly. Srimad Bhagavadgita mentions:
manushyaanaam sahasreshu kaschit yatati siddhaye. yatataamapi siddhaanam kaschita mam vetti tatvataH.
Out of thousands and thousands of persons, hardly anyone tries for the Self Realization (the real goal of the Classical Yoga of ancient times). Out of such, hardly anyone realises me (God) in reality.
Yoga Practice for the classical goal needs to be very serious and regular. Yoga Sutras of Patanjali also mention:
sa tu deerghakaalanairantaryasatkaaraasevito drudhabhoomiH.
The Yoga practice for the Samadhi state has to be prolonged, without interruptions and with a respectful attitude.
Thus, the Yoga Practice also has to be with happy face and respectful attitude.
Actually, the fact is this: 99 percent people are not even interested in the Classical Yoga or any Yoga. Out of the interested ones, 99 percent people only study Yoga books or talk about it. Only 1 percent do it. Only very few of them find a practice that they can stick to. After that hardly anyone sticks to it and completes the practice. And, some of them confuse between Physical, Mental and Spiritual practices, and even do one practice while meaning the other one.
No wonder, very few realised Yogis were found in the past and are found today. But, one interesting fact is that since Realisation is not so easy to verify, many commercial yogis can pretend to be realised thus gain name, fame and money.
